Additional Information: The Meriden Amateur Radio Club is offering a traditional Technician License Exam class meeting once a week for 2 hours a night at our club headquarters at the Wallingford OEM at 143 Hope Hill Road, Wallingford, C,T starting on September 30, 2025. We will be using the ARRL License Manual as our textbook, which you can obtain on your own or purchase for a discounted price of $25 in class. There is also a $5 'lab fee' for a simple transmitter building project. All other costs are optional and à la carte. These include exam and license fees, should the student choose to sit for the exam at the end of the course. Students will also have the opportunity to purchase a recommended, inexpensive, basic handheld VHF/UHF transceiver, which we will program for them so they can monitor activity on the local 2-meter and 70-centimeter bands while studying for their license.
